Doug DuBois Memorial Scholarship
Many of you will recognize the name of Doug DuBois. He has been a longtime supporter and member of our community, hosted many Permaculture events and speakers at his annual Homestead Hoedown and gave of his talents to classes and individuals freely. He was a craftsman, a musician, a friend and a kind soul. He has also been a builder of sustainable community both in Lawrence and, later, in southern Jefferson County. He passed suddenly in a tractor accident at Brushy Run, his homestead, on Sunday, March 7. He will be missed by all who knew him. KPI is accepting donations in his honor to fund a scholarship program for disadvantaged students.
